2016: A Year in Review

Wow, I can’t believe another year has come and gone.  Though nothing to major happened this year, it was a good year and I look forward to all of the great things this coming year has to offer.

To start off 2016 my baby nephew, Thomas was born!  He has been such a joy to our family and we enjoy anytime that we get to spend with him.  I can’t believe that in about a month he’ll be celebrating his 1st birthday! Just seems like yesterday that we where going to visit him in the hospital. We can’t wait to see where the next year takes him and his parents!

In April, we got six chickens and then six chicken more due to a unfortunate event.  They have been a adventure so far and have brought many laughs and funny stories to our family! We’ll see where our crazy chickens, specially crazy Billina 3, takes us this next year.    (Read about our chicken adventures here: C2 Chicken Adventures!)

In June we spent our vacation helping my in-laws built their new house.  Even though it was a tiring vacation, we had a good time and I’m so glad that we where able to help. Even though the house isn’t quite finished, my in-laws are all moved in and enjoying their new home!  (Read more about it here: Our House Building Vacation)

In July my hubby and I celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary!  It’s hard to believe that in a short 6 months it’ll be two years that we’ve been married! I can’t wait to see where this next year takes us!  Looking forward to many more adventures together.  (Read about it here: Our First Anniversary!)

September was a scary but great month for me.  I started my new job working as one of two graphic designers at our local paper.  Though I’m still getting use to my new job and how everything works, so far it has turned out to be good.

Also in September I celebrated my One Year Blogiversiry.  It’s crazy to think that I’ve been blogging for a little over a year now and even though I’ve been a little MIA this last month or so, I can’t wait to see where my blog takes me this next year. (Read about it here: One Year Blogiversiry)

Even though 2016 was a great year, I am looking forward to this coming year, 2017.  There are so many great things coming in this next year from my nephew turning one to my brother marring his fiancé. I’m so excited for this next year and I can’t wait to see what other great things 2017 has to bring us!  Happy New Year, we’ll see you in 2017!!!

July Favorites -Erin Condren Planner

Planner12

For this month’s favorites, I’ve decided to feature my amazing Erin Condren Planner!  After years of wanting and pining after, I finally got myself one and boy am I glad that I did.  I use to be a planner girl, that was until I got out of college and didn’t see need for one but boy was I wrong!  I don’t know how I lived life without one.  It helps to keep me on track and I love getting to check off task after I’ve completed them!  There’s just something about the swishing of the pen to create that check mark and feeling of accomplishment that keeps me wanting to get things done and keep using my planner.Read More »

Our First Anniversary

Wow, I can’t believe that my hubby and I have already been married for one year today.  It seems like only yesterday that I was getting ready to marry the man of my dreams.  Everything ended up turning out the way I had planned it, for the most part, and at the end of the day I was married to my best friend!  Read More »

Anti-Itch Stick

Its that time again when the mosquitoes come out and bite!  I hate when they come back from their not long enough slumber.  I am like candy to those evil blood sucking machines.  Just the other day I was out looking at my garden and checking on our chickens and got 5 to 7 bites. Once I got inside, I went to my trusty essential oil recipes and whipped together this amazing anti-itch stick to help with the awful itching.Read More »
