The 4th of July is one of my favorite times of years. So this year I thought I’d make a couple different decor pieces for our home and show off our American spirit. First on the list was this cute mason jar American flag centerpiece. I just love how it turned and how great it looks on our table. The best part, past how cute it is, was that it didn’t cost me a dime thanks to having everything I needed already around the house. (Thank you wedding decor!) Below I’ll show you how I created this cute 4th of July decor so that you to can create one for you home this 4th of July season!
June has be a pretty busy month for us from getting back from Colorado to building our chicken coop to helping with our local Children’s Theatre program. With all of that there hasn’t been much time to slow down and smell the roses. So I’m looking forward to a more relaxed July! (I hope) Below you’ll find some of my June favorites! Read More »

Our chicken coop is finally finished! It took us about a week and a half of working off and on in our free time on it but its finally done and we love it! Originally I was going to give you a basic break down of how we built our coop but sadly that’s not going to be happening. Basically we drew a picture of what we wanted it to look like and some basic measurements and just ran with it. So instead, I’m just going to share some pictures from start to finish of our coop and some updated photos of our chickens! Enjoy! Read More »
You may have noticed that I’ve been a little MIA from my blog this past two weeks. Well that would be mostly due to the fact that last Tuesday my hubby and I got back from having been in Colorado visiting my in-laws for a week or so. While there we were able to see my brother-in-law, sister-in-law, and our cute baby nephew, other parts of hubby’s extended family, celebrate my hubby turning 27th, and help build my in-laws new house.Read More »
Over the past year or so I’ve gotten really into watching Youtube videos. One of the videos that I’ve seen many of the Youtuber’s do is a monthly favorites . So I thought I’d give it a shot and see how it goes. Below you’ll find some of the things that I’ve been really enjoying this past month.

Ever since our local Orscheln’s put out their green house with all their pots and plants, every-time we would go there I would see this bright blue mason jar looking planter and I would tell my hubby “I really want this.” So a couple weeks ago he surprised me with the planter. I just love how it gives a pop of color to our otherwise boring front porch.Read More »
Ever since practice for The Boys Next Door started and my hubby started studying for the CPA, cleaning our house sorta got put on the back burner. I mean we tried to keep up with it the best we could but there’s only so much you can do when you’re gone/studying every night and busy on the weekends as well.
So now that the play is done, I’m working on giving our house a good clean, room by room. Its been going slowly but last night I finally finished cleaning our master bedroom (minus one crate of random things that don’t belong in our bedroom). To help give our bedroom that super clean feeling/smell, I made up some natural carpet deodorizer.Read More »
While reading some blogs that I follow, I saw a post by HomeHugsHuskies called “The Get to Know Me Tag”. Basically it’s a bunch of questions that you fill out about yourself so that your followers can get to know a little more about you. I thought this would be a fun and great way to let all of you, my followers, know a little more about myself. So here it goes!Read More »
Here’s a recipe that I just had to share with you. I made these this past week for dinner and the have quickly become one of my hubby and I’s favorites! Just the other night he asked if we could make these and have them for our lunches everyday. (I quickly said no, we don’t want to get tried of them.) So its safe to say that we’ll be adding this recipe into our meal rotation! Read More »
